Published Collections of Primary Source Documents in Southern Women's History

Many, many transcribed and edited diaries, collections of letters, and other documents are available in print. Simply search your library's catalog or, if your institution does not have extensive holdings, check the union catalogs WorldCat and the RLG Union Catalog. Use a Library of Congress subject heading such as Women—Southern States—Diaries, or United States -- History -- Civil War, 1861-1865 -- Personal narratives. Be sure to look for final terms like diaries, correspondence, sources, or personal narratives.
